After a quick change of clothing and a bite to eat, 8 children from Year 2 set off for the Caterham School Sports Partnership Year 2 Athletics Tournament 2011 at Caterham High School. As the mini-bus arrived a little early at the venue, the class teachers  found a safe area for the children to rest for a while, to collect their thoughts and come up with some last minute tactics! Despite coming first in a couple of races, unfortunately, Newbury Park Primary School did not come away with a winning place overall.

However, this did not dampen the children’s (or the class teachers’!) spirits as a great time was had by all with Minnie and Mickey Mouse, Ben 10 and of course other team members! Only 11 months until the next Athletics Tournaments, let’s get practising!
